Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an experienced Sterile Processing leader to supervise the CSPD on the main campus. You will ensure decontamination, sterilization, and distribution meet high standards while managing staffing and training initiatives.

You will coordinate with operating rooms, clinics and perioperative services to support over 65 ORs, with a focus on quality, ICARE values, and continuous improvement. This role requires CRCST certification and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have CRCST certification.
• Experience supervising staff and departments.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CSPD at the BJH main campus, ensuring decontamination, sterilization, high level disinfection and distribution meet standards.
• Leads staffing, training, performance evaluation and professional development.
• Oversees 24/7 coverage across operating rooms and clinics, with case cart and instrument management.
• Coordinates with QA/QI and educators to maintain compliance and training.
• Monitors equipment, outages and inventory, and improves processes to reduce downtime.
