Job summary

Scottish Rite for Children is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead the Sterile Processing Department at the Frisco Ambulatory Surgical Center. The role ensures timely, proficient provision of sterile and related surgical supplies in line with JCAHO, AAMI and AORN standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital Sterile Processing Department.
• Maintain CSPDT and/or CRCST certification.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Advanced knowledge of cleaning, decontamination, assembly, packaging and sterilization processes; inventory and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate sterile and unsterile surgical supplies, equipment, and services.
• Maintain inventory levels and stock controls for implants and related supplies.
• Develop, update and communicate Sterile Processing policies and guidelines.
• Train staff on performance improvement and quality control monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO, AAMI, AORN standards and budget considerations.
