Description:The Sterile Processing Tech will be working the night shift.The primary responsibility is to ensure the sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.Experience in spine, neuro, ortho, eye, ENT, GYN, urology, Da Vinci, plastics, and vascular cases is required.The facility has 43 operating rooms.The candidate must have experience with high-level disinfection and immediate-use steam sterilization.Experience with various scopes including bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, and others is essential.The position does not require weekend coverage but may require flexibility based on department needs.The role does not involve on-call duties.The sterile processing technician will be expected to follow all protocols for equipment decontamination and sterilization.Record-keeping and documentation skills are crucial.Candidates must be able to maintain a sterile environment throughout all stages of processing.The tech should possess knowledge of sterilization equipment and instrumentation tracking.A commitment to patient safety and care quality is essential.No first-timers will be accepted for this position.The candidate should have general skills and experience with various surgical specialties.Interdisciplinary support is available in the role.All applicants must adhere to health and safety regulations pertinent to sterile processing.The hiring organization will not accept any references from previous assignments as a permanent employee.
