Description:The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies and equipment.This role involves collaboration with peri-operative nursing staff to provide accurate and timely sterile instrument sets and case carts.The Sterile Processing Tech must maintain recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing, and sterilizing surgical instruments.This position requires skills in following written instructions while performing multiple tasks.Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential.The Sterile Processing Tech should demonstrate a willingness to be cooperative, informative, and supportive to guide new employees.Experience with flexible cystoscopes, sterilization equipment, and decontamination equipment is preferred.Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, including steam sterilization testing and monitoring, is required.Candidates must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a daily surgical volume of 25-40 cases.On-call duties are rare, with expectations to work on major holidays as assigned.
