Description:This position is a temporary to permanent opportunity.The role requires supervision of Lead Technicians and Non-Certified Technicians across all sterile processing work areas.Daily assignments will be based on workload, case volume, and departmental priorities.The supervisor will ensure instrument tracking systems and documentation accuracy are maintained.Collaboration with the Educator/Manager on training plans is essential.The supervisor will coordinate daily operations to meet surgical demands.Monitoring tray turnaround times and instrument availability is necessary.Problem-solving of equipment and workflow issues should be done in real time.Compliance with infection prevention practices and applicable guidelines is required.Audits of tray assembly accuracy and labeling requirements must be addressed.Participation in interdisciplinary meetings related to instrumentation and quality initiatives is expected.Adherence to safety precautions across the department is mandatory.The supervisor will be responsible for organizing, storing, and distributing instruments and trays.Decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment are essential duties.Experience in sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping is required.Preferred experience includes neuro, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and gynecology cases.
Traveling staff may be assigned to emergency response teams.Travelers should be aware of the natural disaster response requirements.Specific local and radius regulations apply, prioritizing non-local candidates.Licensing requirements are subject to evaluation.
