Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, clean, disinfect and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work on a 5-day schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with on-call weekends. Prior experience with colonoscopes, endoscopes, and respiratory scopes is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• 1 year of Sterile Processing experience preferred.
• Experience with cleaning, high level disinfection and reprocessing of scopes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
• Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
