Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments. Prior sterile processing experience and enrollment in a Sterile Processing Technician certification program are strongly preferred.

This full-time role offers an evening shift and requires attention to detail, adherence to CDC guidelines, and accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and inventory.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year Central Services/Supplies experience preferred.
• Experience with sterile processing in hospital setting preferred.
• Completion of or enrollment in a Sterile Processing Technician certification program preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and possess good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of sterilization functions and control methods.
• Assembles kits with correct counts and labeling.
• Tests and documents sterilizers (Bowie-Dick, biological indicators) and logs results.
• Maintains inventory levels and ensures proper case cart processing.
