Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Senior Manager for the Sterile Processing Services (SPS) department at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. You will oversee SPS operations, budget, and regulatory compliance to support patient care across acute care locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 10+ years of experience in sterile processing.
• 5+ years of experience in management role.
• SPS Certification required.
• Knowledge of AAMI/JCAHO/AORN regulations.
• Understanding of Lean management processes to drive process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing budgets for Surgical Services Departments and monitors capital/operating budgets.
• Help develop and accomplish the strategic plan and objectives.
• Plans, directs, problem solves, and performs quality measurements of all assigned tasks.
• Ensures department compliance with policies, laws and regulations.
• Leads initiatives to enhance satisfaction and quality; fosters relationships with medical staff and leadership.
• Oversees and validates department interactions with perioperative services, OR managers and clinicians.
• Manages department operations including staffing, planning, directing, financial analysis and cost management.
• Manages purchase of supplies and materials per hospital policies; oversees instrument utilization and repair processes.
• Motivates staff to peak performance and upholds hospital philosophy and vision.
