Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support operating rooms and related units in Sewell, NJ. You will decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, inspect and distribute instrumentation and trays per IFU and policy.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma and graduation from a certified sterile processing tech program; 6 months experience preferred. Salary ranges from $19.02 to $27.10 hourly with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of certified sterile processing technician training program.
• SPD EXEMPTION – PA facility clause noted for PA Act 80 exceptions.
• Minimum of 6 months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and staff per Jefferson values.
• Ensures sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays per IFU and aseptic technique.
• Prepares procedure case carts per campus requirements.
• Operates washers and sterilizers safely following written instructions and policy.
• Labels items with name and expiration date; checks for outdates and package integrity.
• Participates in onboarding new team members per campus guidelines.
