Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Decontamination Technician to decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments. You will follow infection control standards, manage instrument flow, and prepare cases for the operating room.

The role requires a high school diploma, CRCST or NJ-recognized certification, and 8-hour shifts. This is a full-time position with benefits and a pay range stated as hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• CRCST or national sterilization certification recognized by NJ DoH.
• Usual Work Day: 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments for decontamination and sterilization.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and related equipment safely.
• Maintain inventory and organize instrument sets.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and operability.
• Mentor new employees and support department procedures.
