Job summary

AdventHealth Lake Wales is seeking a seasoned Sterile Processing leader to oversee the department's daily operations, staffing, and compliance with safety standards. You will ensure efficient instrument processing, maintain records, and drive quality assurance programs in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will collaborate with Surgery leadership to meet instrumentation needs while ensuring fiscal responsibility and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CRCST certification required.
• CSPDT certification required.
• LPN or RN license required.
• CHL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult supervisors to resolve complex administrative issues.
• Manage personnel, financial, and operational activities of the Sterile Processing Department.
• Ensure compliance with administrative and regulatory standards.
• Plan and manage policies, procedures, competencies, and QA programs for sterilization.
• Maintain records for instruments, trays, and materials.
• Provide leadership to supervisors and technicians for customer satisfaction and fiscal responsibility.
• Collaborate with Surgery leadership to meet instrumentation needs.
• Maintain sterilization, safety, and security standards per regulations.
• Participate in system-wide committees on sterilization and disinfection.
• Assist in evaluating new products and equipment.
