Job summary

AdventHealth Overland Park is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to maintain sterilization standards and support infection control efforts. You will document loads, ensure reprocessing compliance, and coordinate with departments to meet instrument needs.

Ideal candidates have a High School Grad, 1+ year experience in central supply, and CRCST/CSPDT certification. The role requires lifting up to 35 lbs and standing for long periods, with day shift and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
• Knowledge of Sterilization Standards required.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with tracking systems.
• Knowledge of Surgical Instrumentation preferred.
• Certified in Sterile Processing (CRCST/CSPDT) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of sterilizer Loads and monitor equipment.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer instructions for reprocessing.
• Monitor infection control practices and environmental controls.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to meet instrument needs.
• Train and mentor staff; act as liaison for instrumentation availability.
