Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a dedicated Manager of Sterile Processing to oversee 24-hour operations, case cart delivery, and core sterilization processes in Braselton, GA. This role ensures regulatory compliance with CMS, DNV, AMMI, and AORN standards while guiding the SPD team to deliver safe, efficient instrumentation services.

The incumbent will lead staffing, budgeting, and professional development, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong collaboration across departments

Qualifications

• Licensure or other certifications: Professional Certification in either a clinical or leadership specialty.
• Educational requirements: Associate's Degree.
• Minimum experience: 5 years supervisory/management in SPD in an acute care setting.
• Other: Professional organization membership within one month of hire into the role.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities related to instrument delivery and on-site sterilization processes.
• Ensures safe and cost-effective packaging and protecting instrumentation for sterilization, transportation, storage, and aseptic presentations.
• Ongoing sterilization efficacy testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with procedural areas to ensure case cart practices meet AMMI & AORN standards.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities and provides on-site education.
