The role manages SPD personnel, budgets, and interdepartmental relationships, partnering with the Surgical Services Director to optimize productivity and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare within two years of employment.
• Five years minimum in Sterile Processing with increasing responsibility.
• Maintains currency with four SPD certifications (CRCST, CHL, CIS, CER or equivalents) within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Infection Prevention staff and hospital leadership to monitor and implement quality assurance activities.
• Maintains staff scheduling to ensure operational support for OR and clinical areas.
• Conducts performance appraisals and professional improvement plans.
• Participates in budgeting to support capital equipment and operating expenses.
