You will develop policies, implement sterilization methods, and monitor inventory levels to support patient care.

The role requires 7+ years in sterile processing with 3+ years in supervision and certification from HSPA or CBSPD. Strong leadership and data-driven quality management are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of relevant occupational training; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 7+ years of sterile processing technician experience.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Current certification from HSPA or CBSPD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain policies for processing and handling medical supplies and equipment.
• Implement new sterilization techniques as needed.
• Set department goals, evaluate service systems, and recommend improvements.
• Manage inventory, establish par levels, and coordinate procurement.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to track and distribute processed instruments.
• Lead staff recruitment, evaluations, training, and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
• Oversee quality monitoring and data collection efforts.
• Manage department records, reports, and financial data.
• Supervise sterile processing operations across all shifts and direct staff activities.
