Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor responsible for mentoring, training, and scheduling the work of Sterile Processing staff. You will supervise and coach team members, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily workflows, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies while supporting department goals and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Licenses/certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM required; CIS and CHL or CSPM and CSIS required; or certifications must be acquired within one year from hire date.
• Leadership experience preferred (1 year).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems and resolves issues within the Sterile Processing Department.
• Trains and mentors Sterile Processing Technicians.
• Prepares work schedules and assists manager with performance issues.
• Ensures safe handling and proper cleaning/sterilization of instruments/equipment.
• Maintains inventory and supports quality control and infection control standards.
