Job summary

BHMC-Little Rock is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager to oversee the Sterile Processing Department. You will ensure compliant processing, documentation, and instrument availability for all cases, while aligning with OR leadership and surgeons.

The role requires several years in sterile processing or the OR, certification within 90 days, and proficiency with EPIC and Microsoft tools; a Scrub Tech program graduate with a BA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years clinical experience in the operating room or Sterile Processing.
• Certification in instrument processing within 90 days of employment.
• Graduate from Accredited Scrub Tech program; college preferred.
• Bachelors degree preferred; knowledgeable in surgical instrumentation.
• Computer skills including EPIC, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and instrument tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and cost effective Sterile Processing Department operations.
• Ensures regulatory requirements for cleaning, processing, and storage of instruments.
• Manages staff productivity and ensures instrumentation is available for all cases.
• Collaborates with OR leadership to maintain relationships with sterile processing, OR, and surgeons.
