Job summary

Saratoga Springs Surgery Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Lead to oversee decontamination, sterilization, packaging and distribution of reusable surgical instruments. You will manage scheduling and training of Sterile Processing staff, ensuring compliance with quality, infection prevention, and patient-satisfaction processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in decontamination, cleaning, assembling and packaging of medical instruments per standards.
• Ability to supervise Sterile Processing staff including scheduling and training.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, quality and safety processes.
• Proficient in using instrument tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee decontamination, cleaning, assembling and packaging of instruments and equipment.
• Prepare trays and wrap items for designated areas.
• Operate barcode instrument tracking system.
• Disassemble, clean, assemble and test specialty instrumentation.
• Monitor wash solutions to ensure decontamination quality and consistency.
• Restock, label and maintain inventory of instruments and equipment.
• Manage day-to-day staffing and staff training.
