Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC. seeks a Sterile Processing Technician Lead to oversee decontamination, cleaning, and packaging of surgical instruments. You will manage staffing and training of the Sterile Processing team, ensuring compliance with infection prevention and quality standards.

Responsibilities include preparing instrument trays, operating the barcode tracking system, and maintaining inventory while supporting leadership in daily operations and staff development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State licensure as Sterilization Technician required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• Sterile Processing Technicians with at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced OR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee decontamination, cleaning, assembling and packaging of medical instruments.
• Prepare trays and wrap/package items for designated areas.
• Operate barcode instrument tracking system.
• Disassemble, clean, test and reassemble specialty instrumentation.
• Maintain sterile processing inventory and restock as needed.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Precautions and infection control standards.
• Lead day-to-day staffing, time-off approvals and staff scheduling.
