Job summary

The Sterile Processing Lead at St. Charles Health System coordinates shift operations to meet procedural department needs and ensures the timely processing and picking of instruments and sets in accordance with established policies and procedures.

This role requires CRCST or CSPDT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and six months of Sterile Processing experience (two years preferred). Relocation assistance is offered for eligible candidates; work locations include Bend and Redmond,

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or related field.
• Required: CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• Preferred: CIS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the team’s daily activities to clean, sterilize, and pick instruments, sets, and scopes to support surgical and procedural practice.
• Leads Sterile Processing technicians across decontamination, assembly, scope processing, sterilizer and front case picking.
• Maintains policies, procedures, and daily plans; ensures compliance with Joint Commission, AORN, and AAMI standards.
• Supports department improvements, schedules huddles, and assists with staff education.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or related field (preferred)

CRCST certification

CSPDT certification

CIS certification (preferred)
