Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an Instrument Technologist to join the Sterile Processing Department at a Multi-Specialty Surgery Center in California. You will promote safety, adhere to sterilization protocols, and collaborate across teams to ensure sterile supplies are correctly processed and distributed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, sterilization knowledge, and BCLS certification (within 90 days). Experience in instrument processing and certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; understands sterilization and high-level disinfection.
• Experience in instrument processing is preferred.
• Certification in instrument processing is preferred.
• Successful completion of BCLS within 90 days or current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Operate equipment safely and report unsafe conditions.
• Follow established cleaning, decontaminating, packaging and sterilizing protocols.
• Inventory and restock materials for sterile processing.
• Ensure patient rights, privacy and dignity are maintained.
• Document results and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team and other stakeholders in care planning.
