Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to support orthopedic and spine instrumentation in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Role requires CSPDT certification and Surgical Instrument Specialist certification within one year, plus two years of Sterile Processing experience. On-site, 40-hour weeks with weekend coverage and on-call during holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience in Sterile Processing required.
• CSPDT certification required, Surgical Instrument Specialist certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instrument repairs with vendors and track off-site items.
• Maintain instrument sets based on surgery schedule and inventory needs.
• Procure and return loaner and vendor instrument sets.
• Order supplies per inventory levels and budget guidance.
• Assist with recalls and keep instrument tracking system up to date.
• Collaborate with SPD liaisons to ensure complete sets and availability.
• Communicate instrument availability with SPD Supervisors and OR Coordinators.
