Job summary

City of Hope is seeking an experienced professional to lead education and quality assessments for the Sterile Processing Program. The role supports multiple sites, maintains regulatory alignment, and travels to community practice locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of recent experience in sterile processing or perioperative environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 additional years of experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Demonstrated formal leadership or education role in sterile processing practices.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation and infection control.
• Must have CRCST certification.
• Must obtain CER certification within 12 months.
• Valid California Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations to ensure department operations meet regulatory standards.
• Plan and conduct training for onboarding and ongoing staff development in sterile processing.
• Assess learning needs and develop education programs to meet identified needs.
• Maintain annual staff education and competency records.
• Develop and implement departmental performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate with Quality/Risk and Infection Control on new protocols.
