Job summary

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, WI seeks an Education Coordinator for Sterile Processing to develop and lead standardized orientation, training, continuing education, and competency programs across Mercyhealth locations.

The role partners with infection prevention and clinical leaders to support quality improvement and regulatory compliance, overseeing audits and ongoing staff education in accordance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Sterile processing experience and/or OR tech work preferred.
• CRCST or CBSPD/HSPA credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-wide sterile processing education and competency programs.
• Develop orientation, training, and continuing education curricula.
• Audit compliance with industry standards (AAMI, AORN, CBSPD, CDC, OSHA).
• Collaborate with Infection Prevention and clinical leaders on QA activities.
• Visit Mercyhealth Sterile Processing Departments quarterly.
