Job summary

Penn State Health – Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a Sterile Processing Aide for an evening shift. Duties include processing specialty instruments and implants, and supporting Supervisors and senior technicians in onboarding new staff.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and a CR-CST certification, plus 10 hours of continuing education annually. Evening shift includes a $2.00/hour differential and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician certification required (passed exam and 400 hours hands-on experience).
• Complete 10 hours of continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of Sterile Processing Aide and process specialty instruments and implants.
• Assist Supervisors and Sterile Processing Tech IIs in orientation and training of Aides and Trainees.
