Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital in New York is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the OR suite by reviewing sterilization records and processing instruments per AORN standards. This role requires CRCST certification, knowledge of hospital supplies and instrumentation, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and physical ability to transport heavy carts.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hospital supplies, OR/CSR instrumentation and sterilization.
  • CRCST certification is required.
  • Able to transport heavy OR instrumentation carts and assemble trays.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a team; able to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills; OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily review of recording charts and biological tests from sterilizers and record results.
  • Transport and process instruments according to AORN standards.

Salary Range

USD $31.58 - USD $39.47 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
