Job summary

OptioRx is a dynamic premier national compounding pharmacy based in Glendale, CA, seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Sterile. The role supports sterile and non-sterile compounded medications under a licensed pharmacist, performing compounding, labeling, documentation, quality control, and cleanroom duties in a regulated environment.

Shift options include 1st Shift 7am-3:30pm and 2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm with pay ranges of $30-$33 and $34-$37 per hour respectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active state Pharmacy Technician license in good standing required.
• Prior sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding practices and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications per approved formulas and pharmacist direction.
• Read and interpret medication orders and worksheets for accurate preparation and labeling.
• Perform sterile compounding using aseptic technique in ISO 5 environment.
• Complete quality assurance and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
• Maintain compounding records, labels, logs and traceability for compliance.
• Support inventory control and workflow efficiency in a regulated setting.
