Job summary

CAPS®, part of the B. Braun Group of Companies in the U.S., is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The role involves adhering to CAPS policies, preparing sterile products using aseptic technique, and assisting in the setup of the compounding room and equipment. A California Pharmacy Technician license is required, with cGMP and aseptic processing training provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold CA Board of Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: PTCB or NHA ExCPT certification.
• Experience with aseptic compounding is a plus.
• Training available in cGMP and aseptic processing.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to CAPS policies and procedures.
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Sets up compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for quality assurance testing.
