Job summary

CAPS, part of the B. Braun Group in the U.S., seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities include following CAPS policies, aseptic prep, room setup, equipment handling, and quality assurance record-keeping. 7 on 7 off schedule; holidays/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician license issued by the TX Board of Pharmacy.
• National Pharmacy Certification via PTCB or NHA ExCPT.
• IV Certification through an ACPE program.
• High school diploma or GED required.

• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Sets up the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for sterile solutions.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.

Position Summary

Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation of sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Adheres to all CAPS policies and procedures
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

• REQUIRED: Pharmacy Technician License issued by the TX Board of Pharmacy
• REQUIRED: National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT
• REQUIRED: IV Certification through an ACPE program
• High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required.
• Schedule: 7 on 7 off schedule (8:30am to 7pm) Wed-Tues. Holidays/Overtime as needed.
• Salary range is $19.21 - $26.00/hr

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
