The Pharmacy Technician role supports sterile IV medication preparation under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The position requires Florida Pharmacy Technician license, HS diploma, and preferred certification; schedule is 8:30am–5pm Mon–Fri with alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Florida Board of Pharmacy is required.
• National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• cGMP training/experience desired and training will be provided.
• Aseptic processing training/experience desired and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to CAPS policies and procedures.
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Assists in setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

Education

Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Florida Board of Pharmacy

National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT

High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent

Position Summary

Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation of sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Adheres to all CAPS policies and procedures


• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.


• Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.


• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.


• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.


• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

• Schedule is (8:30am to 5pm) Monday-Friday plus alternating weekends. Holidays/overtime as needed


• Salary range is $18.54 - $24.50

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
