The IV Compound Pharmacy Tech role at Baptist Health works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to prepare and compound sterile products using strict aseptic technique. You will assemble medications, compounding supplies, and labels for sterile admixtures and maintain records per policy and federal/state law.

Daily/monthly/quarterly QC is performed per USP 797. Requires high school diploma and Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy registration (certification preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certified or certification eligible as a pharmacy technician with Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Experience in aseptic preparation of large/small volume parenterals and other sterile products.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy terminology and drug uses.
• Good communication, organization and time-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and compound sterile products under pharmacist supervision.
• Assemble medication, compounding supplies and labels for sterile admixtures.
• Maintain compounding and controlled drug records per policy and law.
• Perform daily, monthly and quarterly cleaning and quality control per USP 797.
• Monitor and maintain drug inventories and keep areas clean and tidy.
