Job summary

CAPS®, part of the B. Braun Group in the U.S., is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for sterile IV compounding in Houston, TX. The role operates on a 7 on/7 off schedule in an onsite 503A compounding setting under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Required: TX Pharmacy Technician license, PTCB/NHA ExCPT certification, ACPE IV certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Salary ranges from $19.21 to $26.00 per hour, with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the TX Board of Pharmacy.
• National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT.
• IV Certification through an ACPE program.
• High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

Education

Pharmacy Technician License issued by the TX Board of Pharmacy
