Job summary

Hospital Authority is seeking a Sterile Supplies Assistant to join the New Territories East Cluster. In this Full Time role, you will count and check used instruments, perform decontamination, washing, and sterilization, and maintain records for instrument stores and inventories.

Applicants should have at least F.5/S.5 or equivalent, and possess relevant boiler/pressure vessel certificates if required. Good command of English and Chinese, willingness to train, and ability to work independently

Qualifications

F.5/S.5 or equivalent.
Possession of at least one boiler/pressure vessel certificate where required.

Responsibilities

Count and check used surgical instruments and accessories before decontamination.
Perform decontamination, washing and disinfection of instruments using appropriate machinery.
Operate and test sterilizers, washer-disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners and related equipment.
Monitor parameters of sterilizers and record device activity daily.
Maintain instrument stores and inventory records; coordinate with departments and suppliers.
Duties in packing, sterilization and dispatching of linen packs and dressings.
Carry out duties related to instrument care and dispatch as assigned.
