Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Central Service Technician to maintain sterile instrument sets and support timely sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff to ensure availability of sterile instruments and equipment, contributing to an efficient workflow.

Ideal candidates will have an H.S. diploma or GED, and either graduate from a central services processing or surgical tech program or have equivalent related experience.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of certification, prior experience as a Central Service Tech or Surgical Tech is required or acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment in a timely manner.
• Supports continuous workflow and delivers superior customer service.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED

Graduate of Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program

In lieu of certification prior experience as a Central Service or Surgical Tech
