Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Central Service Tech to maintain sterilization standards, assemble and decontaminate surgical instrument sets, and store supplies. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to ensure timely delivery of sterile equipment and provide excellent customer service.

The role requires completion of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program or equivalent experience, with a GED/HS diploma as a base qualification. On-site position in Cartersville, GA.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of certification prior experience as a Central Service or Surgical Tech required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Perform sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment in a timely manner.
