Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia seeks a Central Service Tech to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will prepare instrument sets, store supplies, and collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to ensure timely delivery and customer service.

Education includes HS diploma or GED; completion of Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program; experience in lieu of certification may be considered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of certification, prior experience as Central Service or Surgical Tech required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining a consistent and continuous workflow, providing superior customer service.
