Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Central Service Technician to maintain standards for assembly, decontamination, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments. You will ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of sterile sets.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program preferred.
• In lieu of certification, prior experience as Central Service or Surgical Tech may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments in a timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment.
