Job summary

ASK Consulting seeks a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Tech 2 in Minnesota to assist pharmacists with measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients while maintaining sterility. The position requires a Minnesota-licensed pharmacy technician, CSPT preferred, with at least 1 year of experience in a high-volume healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Minnesota pharmacy technician license.
• National pharmacy technician certification.
• 1 year experience coordinating activities in an administrative support function.
• Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.
• Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal).
• Sterile compounding experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service position with high-volume call center experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients to compound products and maintain the sterility and integrity of the final product.
• Follow comprehensive labeling for compounded medications, creams, ointments, and capsules.
• Document steps, measurements, calculations, and deviations during compounding.
• Communicate cleaning protocols for routine equipment maintenance.
• Compile documentation for compounding activities and batch records.
• Operate equipment to measure and prepare scales, mixers, ointment mills, and homogenizers.
• Observe final product for contamination or abnormalities.
• Attend seminars and training to stay updated on compounding techniques.
• Organize waste management differentiating hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
