Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician I to prepare sterile medications for patients under pharmacist supervision. You will perform aseptic compounding, ensure compliance with USP <797> and participate in quality assurance, inventory, and documentation processes.

The role requires a pharmacy technician license, 1 year hospital experience, and knowledge of EPIC. Safety and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year hospital or similar experience.
• Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB or ExCPT Certification within 180 days of start, with certain exceptions.

Responsabilidades

• Sterile compounding of IV admixtures and sterile products per USP <797>.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout compounding.
• Conduct quality assurance of equipment, cleanrooms and hoods.
• Manage inventory of sterile drugs and supplies.
• Document batch records and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses and staff to meet patient needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE use and waste disposal.
• Stay current with guidelines and best practices in sterile compounding.
• Prepare parenteral mixtures in finished forms as required.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and load into ADC with barcodes.
