Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated Specialty Pharmacy Technician II to support sterile compounding and clinical operations in our hospital pharmacy.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will prepare sterile IV admixtures, ensure aseptic technique, maintain documentation and assist with inventory and quality assurance to support safe patient care. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to USP 797/800, and collaboration with nurses and pharmacists.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years sterile compounding experience.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital or similar experience.
• Minimum of 6 months hazardous compounding experience.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and USP <797> & <800>.
• Experience with CTSD devices and chemotherapy products.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding: prepare IV admixtures and steriles per protocols (USP 797/800).
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout the process.
• Quality assurance: monitor equipment, cleanrooms, and hoods for compliance.
• Inventory management: monitor stock levels and storage.
• Documentation: keep accurate records of compounding activities.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses and healthcare staff to ensure timely medications.
