Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician I to prepare sterile medications, maintain aseptic technique, and ensure quality control in a hospital setting. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a Pharmacy Technician license, and PTCB/ExCPT certification within 180 days.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with EPIC and sterile compounding concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile medications per protocols following USP 797 standards.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout compounding.
• Document batch records, logs, and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses and healthcare staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE use, and waste disposal.
• Support inventory and restocking of drug dispensing areas.
• Assist pharmacists with labeling and dispensing medications.
