Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Sterile Compounding in Hartford, Connecticut. This role involves assisting Pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations as well as maintaining accurate records in compliance with established procedures.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience, including specific experience in compounding. A State of Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• 6 months experience in non-sterile compounding and 6 months in nonhazardous sterile compounding is needed.
• State of Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists in preparing sterile and non-sterile drug products.
• Maintain accurate records of compounded sterile preparations.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for drug manipulation.

Skills

Understanding of governing policies (USP 795, 797, and 800)

Solid understanding of technician responsibilities in electronic health record (EPIC)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize work

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field
