Connecticut Children's in Hartford, CT seeks a Pharmacy Technician Non-Sterile Compounding to support pharmacists in dispensing non-sterile and CSPs, under USP guidelines. Under supervision, you will prepare non-sterile drug products, maintain records, document in EPIC, and help with inventory, ordering, and customer service at the pharmacy window.

Requirements include a CT Pharmacy Technician license, High School diploma, and preferred AS/Bachelor's in healthcare and PTCB; experience is welcome

Competenze

• Education and/or Experience Required: High School Diploma, GED, or higher.
• Education and/or Experience Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field; Some Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• License and/or Certification Required: State of Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license.
• License and/or Certification Preferred: PTCB.
• Knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>; EPIC documentation; strong math and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Prepare non-sterile drug products under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceutical products (non-sterile only).
• Maintain accurate records of products prepared per guidelines.
• Document work in EPIC and other systems.
• Maintain clean, safe environment for drug manipulation.
• Assist pharmacist with filling patient orders and prescriptions.
• Document controlled substances per regulations and SOPs.
• Restock medications and supplies; manage inventory.
• Rotate stock to minimize expired medications and prevent shortages.
• Discard expired drugs per procedures.
• Handle patient pickup orders at the Pharmacy window.
• Retrieve orders for pickup and support front desk as needed.
• Follow SOPs and USP guidelines in compounding and delivery.
