Connecticut Children's is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Sterile Compounding to assist in preparing, dispensing, and distributing compounded sterile preparations. The role involves maintaining accurate records and ensuring a clean working environment under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist.

Ideal candidates should have at least one year of pharmacy technician experience, including non-sterile and sterile compounding, and hold a valid Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience, including 6 months in non-sterile compounding.
• State of Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Ability to document work accurately in electronic systems.

Responsabilités

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile drug products under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory of pharmaceutical products.
• Assist with quality assurance activities and maintain cleanliness in the clean room.

Connaissances

Understanding of governing policies (USP) for sterile and non-sterile drug preparation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Mathematical proficiency for pharmaceutical preparation

Proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Formation

High School Diploma, GED, or higher education

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field
