Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Maryland registration and CPhT certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Knowledge of metric system and drug nomenclature.
• Ability to enter data via computer applications accurately and timely.
• Proficient in sterile preparation and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Triages telephone calls and window requests from patients and staff.
• Operates pharmacy automation systems (Medtech, AccuDose, DoseEdge, Medex, Pharmacy Keeper).
• Prepares medications for dispensing; fills orders with correct drugs and labels.
• Notifies pharmacists of discrepancies and ensures safe distribution.
• Delivers medications and replenishes dispensing stock; reports low stock.
• Maintains sterile products and completes IV validation annually.
• Maintains clean room and records for sterile processing.
• Performs other duties and supports quality and safety programs.
