MedStar Harbor Hospital's inpatient pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician II to join the team, performing routine medication preparation, restocking automated dispensing machines, and handling sterile and non-sterile compounding under supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training program, 6–12 months of pharmacy technician experience, and Maryland registration plus a national license (PTCB/ExCPT) upon hire.

• Completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists pharmacists in obtaining patient specific information for safe medication management.
• Refills and replaces medications in automated dispensing machines; labels medications with expiration dates and warnings; inspects storage areas; adheres to policies on recalls, outdated or recalled meds.
• Evaluates the medication management system to identify safety improvements.
• Safely prepares all medications including hazardous and sterile products using proper techniques.
• Ensures medications are procured based on formulary criteria and policy, and adheres to 340B program where applicable.
