Job summary

Rx relief near Plano, TX seeks reliable Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians to join a high-volume 503A facility. You will assist pharmacists with sterile medication preparation in a clean room.

Candidates must be a certified pharmacy technician with TX registration and IV certification, have at least one year sterile compounding experience, and possess attention to detail. Competitive benefits and ongoing training offered.

Qualifications

• Active CPhT and TX Board registration required.
• 1+ year of sterile compounding experience.
• IV Certification required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounds and medications in a clean room.
• Follow USP <797> and <800> guidelines for sterile compounding.
• Maintain aseptic technique during preparation.
• Perform calculations to ensure accurate measurement and mixing.
• Operate and maintain laminar flow hoods and autoclaves.
• Document compounding activities and maintain records.
• Assist in inventory management of medications and supplies.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accuracy.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Monitor temperature and humidity in clean room and storage areas.
• Assist in training new staff on sterile procedures.
• Stay updated on current compounding regulations and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients.
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs.
• Assist in hazardous drug handling and disposal.
• Contribute to SOP development and improvement.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Prepare and package final products for dispensing or shipping.
