Job summary

The position requires a BSN (or ADN with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years), IL RN licensure, and BLS. ACLS/PALS/TNCC are additional preferences for specific units.

Qualifications

• BSN required or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Analytical abilities for evidence-based practice and plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient status on admission and during care.
• Organize health data for accurate, accessible plans of care.
• Identify problems requiring immediate attention and communicate with team.
• Document diagnoses and update the plan of care with family involvement.
• Develop discharge plans and engage patient/family in decisions.
• Prioritize nursing interventions based on standards of care.
• Provide patient and family education grounded in evidence.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in conferences.
