Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse and active practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required by facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a defined patient group in the stepdown unit.
• Coordinate care delivery to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families; provide discharge planning and teaching.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel per scope of practice.
• Maintain clinical competence in stepdown nursing practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
