Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a defined group of patients in the stepdown unit.
• Coordinate care delivery to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to promote well-being.
• Provide discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff per scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance efforts.
